Statstidende is the official gazette in which bankruptcy orders, reconstructions and forced sales are published.

In practice
When a company goes bankrupt, its creditors are not notified automatically. The order is published in Statstidende, and from there you have to collect it yourself — either by looking or by letting a monitoring system look for you.
That is what makes the gazette relevant to a creditor. A filing deadline often runs from publication, and discovering the order a month late can mean losing the chance to take part in the distribution.
Reconstructions and forced sales are published in the same place. A forced sale of a property you hold a charge over is a piece of information it is expensive to miss.
Where it commonly goes wrong
- Expecting to be informed. The trustee may not know about your claim yet — which is precisely why it has to be filed.
- Monitoring only the largest customers. The small bankruptcies are the ones most often spotted too late.
