Four technologies are necessary for the site to work — they remember your language and your access to the templates. The fifth is statistics, and it is only switched on if you say yes. Here is all of it.

The short answer
We use necessary cookies that keep the site running: they remember your language and your access to the templates. On top of that we measure how the pages are used — but only if you say yes in the cookie box. We use no cookies for marketing or profiling, and there are no advertising pixels on the site.
That is why we ask about one thing rather than everything. The necessary cookies cannot be opted out of — without them the site can neither remember your language nor give you access to the templates — and they require no consent under section 4 of the Danish cookie order. Statistics do require consent, and they stay off until you press “Accept all”.
You can change your answer or withdraw it at any time: click “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page. Undoing a yes is exactly as easy as giving one.

What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. The next time you visit, it can read the file again. That is how a website can remember something about you from one visit to the next.
Cookies can be necessary for a page to work at all — or they can be used to follow how you move around the internet. The difference lies not in the technology, but in what they are used for.

Counts page views and measures how quickly the pages load, so we can see what is slow or unused. Sets no cookie, uses no fingerprinting technique and does not recognise you from visit to visit.

The four necessary ones are our own. None of them contains your name, your address or your IP address, none of them is passed on to third parties, and none of them can be used to recognise you on another website.
The fifth is the statistics, and it stays off until you say yes. If you say no — or do not answer at all — the tool is never downloaded into your browser. That is an important difference from most cookie banners: here, a no is not a script that has already loaded and then been asked to behave.
We use no cookies for marketing and none to recognise you across websites.
§ 4
Third parties
No advertising pixels and no social sharing widgets are loaded on the site, and we have no arrangements to share data about your behaviour with anyone.
If you say yes to statistics, one script is fetched from Cloudflare, Inc. (static.cloudflareinsights.com). Cloudflare is also the provider that delivers and protects the site, and processes the information as our data processor. The tool is described above: no cookie, no fingerprinting, no recognition from visit to visit.
If you click a link to another website — politi.dk, Datatilsynet or one of our integration partners, for example — their own rules on cookies apply once you get there. We have no influence over them.
§ 5
How to change or remove them
Your answer about statistics can be changed at any time: click “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page, and the box opens again with your current choice. If you withdraw your consent, measurement stops from the next page view onwards.
You can always delete cookies in your browser, and you can set your browser to refuse them in advance. You do that in the browser’s settings under privacy or security. The same place clears the browser’s local storage, where the two necessary keys live.
If you refuse them all, the site still works — you simply have to choose your language again on each visit and provide your email again the next time you download a template.
§ 6
Changes and contact
If we take new tools into use, or change what they are used for, we will update this page and obtain your consent afresh before they are switched on. Consent you gave to one thing is not reused for another.
