We take the case all the way to the bailiff court
When your customer can pay but chooses not to, our own lawyers step in: payment order, bailiff court and, if it comes to that, ordinary civil proceedings. The case keeps the number it had the day the invoice went out, and the whole history is already on the file when the lawyer takes over.
- Credit assessed within 24 hours
- No ceiling on the claim
- One day’s notice
Tens of thousands of collection cases and our own lawyers with rights of audience in the bailiff court
The file follows the case to the lawyer
-
It is our own lawyer. The invoice, the reminder journey and the collection notice are already on the case by the time it turns legal. The file stays where it is, and you pay nobody to get up to speed on it.
-
Also when the claim is large. The simplified collection procedure reaches up to DKK 100,000. Above that, our lawyers bring the claim as ordinary civil proceedings in the district court, then go to the bailiff court with the judgment in hand.
-
The basis holds for ten years. A judgment or an endorsed payment order extends the limitation period to ten years. The debtor cannot simply wait you out.
We only go to court when it is worth it
First we work out whether the case can carry
A credit assessment decides what happens next — not how tired you are of waiting. There are three outcomes, and only one of them leads to court. Telling them apart is what you pay a law firm for.
- Can pay but does not → court
- No ability to pay → monitoring
- The claim is disputed → a dispute, not a bailiff case
The payment order is filed
We draw up the payment order and file it with the bailiff court. The debtor is served and given a deadline to object. If no objection arrives, the court endorses the order.
- Drawn up by lawyers in house
- The debtor gets the deadline the law gives
- You can follow the case in the portal
An endorsement carries the weight of a judgment
With no objection on the file, the bailiff court endorses the order. The claim can then be enforced, and it stands for ten years. That is what makes it possible to collect tomorrow when there is nothing to take today.
- An enforceable basis in place
- The limitation period extended to ten years
- The deadline can be interrupted again
Attachment, or an instalment plan we keep an eye on
Our lawyer appears in the bailiff court and secures an attachment or an instalment plan. If the debtor stops paying, the case moves again. If there is no ability to pay at all, the claim goes into monitoring on the basis we already hold.
- Attachment against assets or wages
- The instalment plan is followed automatically
- A breach triggers the next legal step
You know what the case costs before it is brought
A legal case costs a fee to us and the court fee to the court — and a success fee if the money comes home. The amounts are on the pricing page before you bring the case. Interest, collection costs and the court fee are charged to the debtor under the applicable rules.
- A fee to us for the legal case
- Court fee as set by statute
- The bailiff hearing is run by our own lawyers
What the legal case connects to
The legal part stays in house. Rieck Advokater brings the case, and the invoice, the reminder journey and the collection notice are already on the file when it is filed.
-
Rieck Advokater
The law firm is part of Rieck. Our lawyers have rights of audience in the bailiff court and argue the cases themselves.
-
Ordinary proceedings
Claims above DKK 100,000 and disputed claims are brought in the district court by the same lawyers. From there the case continues into the bailiff court with the judgment in hand.
-
Monitoring
If there is nothing to take right now, the basis keeps the claim alive, and monitoring picks collection up again once the ability to pay is there.
-
Accounting system
The recovered amount is reconciled and booked in your own ledger like any other payment.
