RKI

If the debtor does not pay after reminders and an RKI notice, Rieck can register the debt with RKI, the Danish credit register, as part of debt collection. The registration is deleted as soon as the debt is paid.

How a debt is registered

Registration is a step in debt collection, not a threat in a reminder. Before a debtor can be registered, at least three reminders must have gone out by a written channel along with an RKI notice whose deadline has passed, and the case must not be disputed or on hold. From DKK 200 the debt is registered without being shown; above DKK 1,000 it is shown when someone looks the debtor up. The registration is made by Rieck’s own staff and deleted on its own once the debt is paid.
